Current tenders and requests for proposals
Any new tenders will be placed on the Ministry of Defence website and will also feature in the Government Electronic Tender Service 'GETS' which is facilitated through the Ministry of Economic Development.

Local industries involvement policies
The Acquisition Division is responsible for the implementation of Government procurement policy on local industry involvement in Defence contracts and encourages overseas bidders to look for the involvement of local (New Zealand, Australia, Singapore, Chile and Brunei) companies on a sound commercial basis and to the benefit of the Division's customer.

The Australian Department of Defence maintains a database of companies that are interested in supplying goods and services to Defence, or may wish to participate as subcontractors to Defence contracts.

Defence Industry Committee of New Zealand (DICNZ)
The DICNZ was formed in 1994 to improve communication between Defence and New Zealand industry. The Committee reports directly to the Minister of Defence.
The Minister of Defence Award of Excellence to Industry
The Minister of Defence Award of Excellence to Industry was established in 1998 by the Defence Industry Committee of New Zealand (DICNZ) to highlight and reward the contribution made by industry to Defence. The award is an engraved trophy, which past winners have been able to use to good effect in their own marketing efforts. The award winners are announced in October each year.
